Really took it out of me. needing to cool down I hopped on my bike and rode around for ten minutes or so. Stretched out and soaked it up in a tub of cold water. Then without any sleep or rest really I went to Kings Island a few hours later and spend the whole day walking around with my hot babe girlfriend. I'm getting there. There are four marathons this year that I plan on running in. I'm too poor though. I have to come up with something to pay for the entrance fees and training materials and junk. I dearly need a new pair of shoes. Oh well. What can you do? I'm staying positive. I know I'll get what I need.

Wednesday, July 02, 2008

Ran 16 miles two days ago. Fucking geeked about it. I'm totally going to be able to do the distance of the marathon. I might even have a time better than four hours. That's not so bad for a first marathon. I guess. I wish I didn't get fat and lazy over the winter. Had I kept training form last summer I might have been able to qualify for the Boston like I originally wanted too. But set backs do arise and I'll get through it and I will eventually qualify for the Boston. And eventually work my way to being an iron man. Yeah. Also it's been 1,136 days since I stopped smoking and started working out and shit. Hoory and all that.

Friday, May 30, 2008

I've talked someone into riding my bike to pace me when I run. I have a speedometer you see. I also made this handy dandy little chart in notepad displaying mph/mile pace. Plus I've got to start kicking ass and getting my long runs much longer. Like just over twice as long as they are now. I've still got some months and I've only been seriously training again for a few weeks so I'm making good progress but it could be better. I think I'll do fine in this marathon even if I don't qualify for Boston, which at this point its looking like I probably won't. But I may as well kick as much ass as I can and aim for it.
*-----------------------*
| Speed I've only rany 1.75 miles hahaha. I was going to start yesterday but slept the whole damn time since I've been having sleeping issues. But if I get 10 miles a day for the rest of the week I can do it. I might split up some of the miles. Do ten today all at once, then the next day in the morning and evening, and all that. I might do a couple big runs on Saturday or Sunday since I'll have plenty of free time for the first time in a long while. I need to start shaping up for this Marathon. The goal is to have my long runs up to 15 miles by the end of this month. 20 by mid June then start getting my times down. I'm going at this full steam. Crazy hardcore and shit. I might even start updating this daily like I used to.

The realistic goal is to complete a full Marathon in September. The extreme hardcore goal is to do it in 3:10:59 or better. That's what I have to do to qualify for Boston. I will train as hard as I can damn it.

Thursday, February 07, 2008

My training has still been shaky to non existant! But I've had enough. The whole time I've been doing more research into improving my training like always. Today I'm going to start training for my marathon. No excuses. No more arguing with the girlfriend. It gets done. This is a selfish life I've chosen and I guess I have to be prepared for the consequences. February 17th will be the 1,000 days after I stopped smoking and started running and being a winner! Hooray. I charted this almost but not quite 10 mile run which will consist of todays running workout.

Today is the day I start seriously training for the Marathon. The ambitious goal is to qualify for Boston. The realistic goal is to be able to complete the marathon. GO!

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

I've been getting lazy and fat. I've been running only once a week just to make sure I don't lose my mileage. It'd be different if I was trying to bulk or something but, my liftings been crap too. I think a lot of it has to do with my fucked up sleep schedule and fucking around with my girlfriend. Which I can't complain, I love her and she's a super hot babe. But I'm re-dedicating myself. I just got up from sleeping for five hours, so I can't fall back to sleep but I haven't had enough sleep really. So anyway, in a little while I'll be going out running. But it's going to be hard running 3 times a week again, especially since I'll be volunteering at work and working an additional 6 hours a day.

Saturday, September 15, 2007

Ran the half marathon! Awesome. Finally got my first medal. Talked my friend into training for next years full marathon. GO TEAM TERRIFYING! The results should be posted online soon, I have no idea what my official time is. It should be just under two hours, I think. We'll see what the site says when they get it updated and junk. I'm very happy that I finished the race though. I knew the hills would be killer but man, they killed me. My time wasn't too far from my usual training times, but I've NEVER ran anywhere with hills or on anything other than grass.

Monday, August 27, 2007

Finally made my summer goal of running 15 miles. To be exact I went 15.3 miles, didn't time myself at all. Any day now I'm going to register for my Half Marathon. Tomorrow I'm going to bug my boss man again about taking some time off. I work third shift and need a day or two to switch my sleep schedule around and rest up.

Saturday, July 28, 2007

Bought a new Olympic Bench. Love it. Sturdy, solid, feels great. Excellent addition to my backyard terror camp.

I forget if I've mentioned this in a previous post or not but I'm mentioning it here either way.
